Scott assists both public and private companies, lenders, and law firms with the analysis, understanding, and resolution of complex financial issues. He focuses primarily on providing independent third-party valuation consulting services to support clients’ financial and tax reporting endeavors. Scott has extensive knowledge of accounting guidance and U.S. GAAP requirements that drive valuation needs for both publicly and privately held entities. His valuation work is also used for tax reporting purposes and regularly withstands scrutiny from the SEC, IRS, external audit reviews, and other triers of fact.

Prior to joining BMF, Scott served at both regional and global public accounting firms, focusing on business consulting and tax compliance. He also brings 9 years of experience as a staff attorney for the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, where he assisted in resolving numerous valuation disputes and other litigation.
