Staff Highlights – Spring 2026
New Team Members
We’re excited to welcome the following professionals to our BMF team:
- Ethan Detweiler returns to BMF as a Staff Accountant in our Tax group after completing a busy season internship this Spring. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree at Kent State University. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and hopes to attend the Masters Tournament one day.
- Tessa Gwirtz joins our Client Accounting & Advisory Services group as a Senior Accountant, bringing over five years of corporate accounting experience. She lives in the Canton area and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also has a goal of traveling to all seven continents one day.
- Allison Kaylor returns to BMF as a Staff Accountant in our Audit group after completing a busy season internship in Spring 2025. She graduates from Kent State University this May and is eager to begin her full-time career with the firm.
- Lindsay Stemple, CPA, joins our Tax group as a Senior Manager, bringing more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. She resides in Dover, Ohio, with her two children. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and cheering on her kids in sports.
- Jason Walker, CMI, joins our State and Local Tax group as a Manager. He brings more than 15 years of experience, specializing in sales and use tax and consulting. He resides in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and two children. In his free time, Jason enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.

We’re excited to welcome our Summer 2026 interns and look forward to all they’ll accomplish at BMF:
- Hannah Ball, Audit Intern – Kent State University
- Mackenzie Hnath, Audit Intern – Kent State University
- Anna Oellerich, Tax Intern – Kent State University, December 2025 Graduate

Community & Leadership Highlights
We’re proud to recognize our team members who are making an impact in our communities and beyond, and to celebrate their recent honors and achievements:
- Megan Kishman serves as the Committee Chair for Financial Review for Westlake Elementary School.
- Dana Mountjoy has been appointed to the United Way of Summit & Medina board of directors, supporting the organization’s mission to empower and uplift communities across the region.
- Jordan Schumacher received the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, under the sponsorship of Emilia Sykes, for earning the Marian Birk-Selm Schuller Endowed Scholarship, awarded to female business majors. She was also honored at Walsh University’s Honors Convocation as the 2026 Outstanding Senior in Accounting.
2026 Polar Bear Plunge
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in and supported this year’s Polar Bear Plunge! While the water was cold, the sunshine and support from our team made it an incredible day. With 26 brave jumpers, we raised over $8,000 in support of our Harvest for Hunger campaign. A special thank you to our team – your support truly made a difference!
