In Response to COVID-19

Dear Clients and Colleagues,

As the COVID-19 Coronavirus continues to dominate the headlines in the U.S. and around the world, we wanted to take this opportunity to reach out and let you know how BMF is navigating the uncertainty of this pandemic. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing and are committed to be informed and responsive. Things are literally changing by the moment and we are carefully monitoring the situation and following all guidance from our local, state and federal agencies.

But rest assured that in the meantime, it’s business as usual.

We’ve assembled a cross-disciplinary team and have plans in place to ensure the safety of our associates and to navigate any potential business disruption. If a decision is made to close the office, we have the secure technological capacity, as well as cultural and operational infrastructure in place, for our associates to work virtually and continue to provide seamless service.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are encouraging all clients to rely on electronic communication to the greatest extent possible. We will continue to utilize ShareFile and Suralink, our confidential, encrypted portals where documents can be uploaded and shared with our clients and associates. We also have the ability to encrypt emails and attachments. If you would like to utilize any of these services, contact any member of your team and they will assist you in getting setup.

We’ve been encouraging our associates to have an open dialogue with our clients to assess their comfort level with on-site visits (either their location or ours), so don’t hesitate to have that conversation with us if you have concerns with scheduled visits.

As you know, this is our busiest time of year with tax filing and regulatory deadlines quickly approaching. We are monitoring guidance from the IRS and anticipate official guidance coming from The President shortly regarding filing deadlines. As soon as we know, we will inform you. If you have specific questions or need to submit your tax-related documents, please contact any member of your team and they will gladly assist.

We remain vigilant regarding the health and safety of our professionals and will continue our commitment to deliver outstanding service to our clients. We will do our best in these trying times, but if there’s an illness-related hiccup, we hope you will be understanding. We will be in communication as this situation evolves and/or if further decisions are made that affect BMF, its associates or our clients.

As we navigate this time of uncertainty together, we send our hopes that you and your loved ones are well, and we are here if you need us.

Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and healthy.
