Looking for an Internship?
  • We think our culture of work/life integration and personable colleagues is the perfect next step in your career development. Through participating in our paid internship program you will gain experience that will complement your academic work and provide a stepping-stone for a smooth transition upon graduation.
  • As an intern, you will serve as a member of one or more client engagement teams. You can expect to have access to and receive guidance from the more experienced members of your team as you carry out a variety of client service assignments using state-of-the-art tools and technology. We offer both tax and hybrid internships during the spring semester.

Summer Leadership Experience
Our Summer Leadership Experience – Join BMF on Thursday, June 20 at 5 pm for a fun-filled experience designed for rising freshman, sophomores and junior accounting students who are considering a career in public accounting. This event is a fun and engaging program that includes an introduction to our firm, a brief panel session with some former BMF interns and networking with our team! Deadline to submit your application is Monday, April 15.

Applicant Requirements

  • Rising freshman, sophomore or junior in college
  • Current or expected accounting major
  • Personally and academically motivated
  • Distinguished in the classroom, on campus and in the community

At BMF, we know that of our success is not possible without the best people. We take great responsibility in ensuring our professionals are receiving the training and support they need to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Learning & Development
We know that people are happy when they are offered a variety of challenging opportunities to learn and grow. To support that, we offer training that starts your first week with us and continues throughout your career. We provide courses through both in-house and third-party training providers. With over 40 hours of continuing professional education provided for each employee every year, you will have a variety of topics and learning methods to choose from. Topics include:
    • Structured leadership and management development programs
    • Technical audit, accounting, assurance, tax and regulatory compliance training
    • Business, interpersonal and managerial courses
    • Soft skills development
Additionally, your development is enhanced throughout the year with on-the-job training with colleagues who are industry experts, and ongoing personal development through our Advisory Council program. There is also the opportunity for graduate school tuition reimbursement if you choose to attend while working with us.
Career Progression
We understand that it’s in everyone’s best interest to keep our employees challenged and learning no matter where they are in their career. To do this we incorporate:
  • Advisory Council Program – Individuals gain critical insights about their performance and growth potential by working closely with a dedicated Manager Advisor, along with a Partner Advisor.
  • Individual Development Plans – Everyone at BMF has a development plan; a goal setting and communication tool used to align your personal goals and foster your career advancement.
  • Rewards and Recognition – Our incentive programs recognize and reward exceptional performance.
Performance Management
Feedback is essential to any good performance and development program. At BMF we utilize Review Snap, a performance management software tool to help promote timely feedback and provide an easy way for associates and managers to access a history of feedback, goals, and progression. Ways in which we gauge performance:
  • Engagement Evaluations, including both self-evaluation and manager evaluation
  • Formal monthly advisor meetings
  • Annual performance discussions
