Expertise
Scott assists both public and private corporations, lenders and law firms with analysis, understanding and resolution of complex financial issues. He focuses primarily on providing independent third-party valuation consulting services to support clients’ financial reporting and tax reporting endeavors. Scott has considerable knowledge of accounting guidance and U.S. GAAP requirements that drive valuation needs for publicly- and privately-held entities. His valuation work is also used for tax reporting purposes and regularly withstands scrutiny from the SEC, IRS, external audit reviews and other triers of fact.
Prior to joining BMF, Scott served at both a regional and global public accounting firm, focusing on business consulting and tax compliance. He also brings nine years of experience as a staff attorney for the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, where he assisted in the resolution of numerous business valuation disputes and other litigation.
