Bober Markey Fedorovich Expands Leadership in  Tax Services and Business Development

Akron, Ohio – March 20, 2014 – Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF), a regional audit, accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Akron and Cleveland, has hired John E. Jenkins, CPA, senior manager, tax services and Jonathan C. Stocker, CPA, manager, business development.

With more than 21 years of “Big Four” firm experience, Jenkins provides tax compliance and consulting solutions to public, private equity, middle-market and high growth clients in a variety of industries. He also has extensive experience with ASC 740 tax accrual reviews, identification of book/tax differences, valuation allowance analysis and proper financial statement disclosures.

Specializations include federal, multi‐state and international tax compliance; transaction cost reviews; private equity buyout transactions and due diligence inquiries; private equity portfolio company tax minimization; and C corporations, S corporations, LLCs and partnerships.

Jenkins is a graduate of Mount Union College with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting, cum laude.  A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), Jenkins is treasurer for DANCECleveland and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary finance council. He is also involved with the Boy Scouts of America and the Akron Marathon.

With more than six years of public accounting experience, Stocker joins Bober Markey Fedorovich as manager, business development. He focuses on lead generation, maintaining new and existing client relationships as well as expansion of client service opportunities.  A certified public accountant, Stocker spent the first part of his career in corporate, partnership and individual taxation specializing in cost segregation studies, provisions and mergers and acquisitions. In 2011, he took on a leadership role in business development applying practical knowledge of the industry.

Previous to joining BMF, Stocker was with Grant Thornton in Cleveland, as well as a regional public accounting firm.

Stocker is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he also earned his Master of Professional Accounting.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and the Association for Corporate Growth, Stocker also sits on the Blossom Hill Foundation board of directors.
