Matthew Mallinak Named Partner at BMF
Matt specializes in serving middle-market growth companies in manufacturing/distribution, construction, retail and financial industries. He brings an unusual combination of skills in serving both privately held as well as public entities, with a background in private equity, family-owned businesses, IPOs, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC compliance reporting and annual audits, including employee benefit plans. Matt has worked with organizations of all sizes with GAAP accounting standards and other financial accounting needs.
Matt focuses on driving performance on the core issues that truly matter to his clients. He thrives on leveraging financial analysis and audit reporting data to identify and create opportunities for growth, and excels at developing innovative and practical business solutions to complex business problems in a proactive manner that increases efficiency, improves existing processes, and ultimately, reduces cost.

Matt applies that same sense of determination outside the office with his community work. He serves as a board member of Keep Ohio Beautiful, a choice he made for many of the same reasons that have shaped his business career.

A Northeast Ohio native, Mallinak earned his accounting degree from Ohio University and spent 12 years at a Big 4 accounting firm before joining BMF in the fall of 2017. He is a board member of Keep Ohio Beautiful, an advocacy group that works with municipalities across the State on projects related creating healthy, safe, clean and beautiful civic spaces throughout Ohio.
