Staff Highlights – Winter 2026
New Team Members
We’re excited to welcome the following professionals to our BMF team:
- Bershann Bounds joins our Audit group as a Senior Accountant. She brings over four years of public accounting experience from a large national firm. Bershann lives in Fairlawn and enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking with her dog Auggie, gardening, or swimming. She also hopes to one day visit every MLB stadium.
- Abigail (Abi) Lee joins our Tax group as a Staff Accountant. Abi completed both a 2025 busy season tax internship and a Summer 2025 internship with the firm. She recently graduated from The University of Akron and is excited to be back with our team.
- Ashley Menegay joins our Audit group as a Staff Accountant after completing her Summer 2025 internship with our team. She recently graduated from The University of Akron with her bachelor’s degree in accounting and is eager to begin studying for the CPA exam.
- Michele Perry joins our Tax group as a Senior Manager. She brings more than 15 years of experience from both regional and national firms. Michele resides in Cincinnati with her husband, their four children, and two pets. She is a lifelong Cincinnati Bearcats fan and a season ticket holder for both football and basketball games.
- Archie Potol joins our Transaction Advisory group as a Senior Analyst. She brings more than four years of experience from a national firm. She resides in Lapu-Lapu City in the Philippines and enjoys cooking and traveling in her free time. Her favorite destination so far has been Hong Kong.
- Jordan Schumacher joins our Audit group as a Staff Accountant. She recently graduated from Walsh University and resides in Navarre, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, bowling, and baking. One of her goals is to visit all 50 states.
- Arland Weisenburger joins our Transaction Advisory group as a Manager. She brings more than five years of public accounting experience, with a background in both audit and transaction advisory. Arland lives in South Carolina with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys watching sports and is an avid fantasy football fan.
New Leadership Team Member
Andrew Zinger joins BMF as a Director in our Transaction Advisory Services group. Andrew brings more than 20 years of experience across transaction advisory, corporate finance, and financial leadership. Most recently, he has served as an independent consultant, supporting clients through financial due diligence, M&A advisory, and fractional CFO services. Andrew resides in Solon with his family and enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and photography. Learn more about Andrew here.

Community & Leadership Highlights
We’re proud to recognize our team members who continue to make an impact in our communities and beyond:
- Joe Blaha has been re-elected as Treasurer of the Neohio Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) for the tenth consecutive year. As a member-driven organization, the Neohio Region SCCA organizes autocross events, road races, rallies, performance driving events, and hands-on training opportunities that help keep the region’s motorsport community thriving.
- Katlyn Diddle has been selected as a board member of Kent State University’s Young Accounting Alumni Advisory Board, which brings together alumni working in the accounting profession to support students, programs, and the department through collaboration and mentorship.
- Jeff German-Lortie recently joined the Benjamin Rose Young Professional Council, supporting the organization’s mission to enhance the aging journey for adults and caregivers through philanthropy, leadership, and community engagement.
- Geoffrey Jacobson was recently appointed Coordinator of the Trinity Cathedral/Charlie Comella Urban Farm, an innovative community garden focused on sustainability, local art, and neighborhood nourishment.
Welcome Winter!
From year-end celebrations to team traditions, here’s how we spent this season together:
- New Hire & Intern Meet & Greet: Our team hosted our 4th Annual New Hire & Intern Meet & Greet at Wild Eagle Steak & Saloon in Broadview Heights, giving new team members and interns an opportunity to connect before officially starting their journey at BMF.
- Holiday Happy Hour: We wrapped up the year together with a festive Holiday Happy Hour in our Akron office, celebrating an incredible 2025 and the people who made it possible.
- Annual Promotions Party: We gathered at The Wine Mill in Peninsula to celebrate our newly promoted associates with heartfelt remarks honoring their hard work, dedication, and the impact they make every day. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
- Business Volunteers Unlimited Events: We were proud to support and attend BVU’s Civic Leadership Celebration and Linking New Leaders events, bringing together leaders and supporting community impact across Northeast Ohio.
