BMF Announces January 2026 Promotions, Including Two New Directors

We are pleased to announce our January 2026 promotions across the firm. These advancements reflect our continued commitment to recognizing talent, leadership, and professional growth at every level. This year’s promotions include two well-deserved advancements to director, along with management and associate-level promotions.

Director & Management Promotions

Michael Bigrigg, CPA, ABV, Valuation Advisory Services, to Director. Michael specializes in assisting public and private companies, lenders, and law firms with valuation and complex financial matters. With more than 10 years of public accounting experience, he focuses on financial and tax reporting and brings extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP. His expertise includes business valuation, litigation advisory, succession and estate planning, and transaction due diligence.

John Burgett, CPA, MSA, Taxation Services (State & Local Tax), to Director. John brings more than 10 years of experience specializing in state and local tax matters. He advises clients on complex multi-state tax issues, supporting middle-market companies and large, multi-state organizations. John works closely with clients in the manufacturing, construction, and services industries, delivering strategic insights and tangible tax savings. He also serves as a mentor and leader within the firm and is committed to developing staff talent and sharing his expertise through mentorship and internal training.

Scott Serfozo, CPA, JD, Valuation Advisory Services, to Senior Manager. Scott specializes in independent, third-party valuation services supporting complex financial and tax reporting matters. He brings extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and works with public and private companies, lenders, and law firms. Scott’s background includes experience at both regional and global public accounting firms, as well as supporting valuation disputes and litigation matters.
